The Spirit and The Skull By J. M. Hayes

A Very unusual mystery.

Set in times long past, we meet Raven, a Spirit Man from a Paleolithic Tribe of people traveling around the area of what would be Alaska, trying to find a new home where food was more plentiful at the insistence of others, Other Spirit Men and Women who said their people would suffer badly from the spirits if they did not make this journey.

For Raven, the suffering seems to start early, as a Murder is committed in his band, and he’s tasked to find the killer. For Raven though, things just don’t go smoothly. Not only are more murders committed, he starts having visions of a possible future, one we’re already a bit familiar with.

Over all a pretty good book. Interesting story and plenty of action.
